Avri Shefler has over 35 years’ offshore and onshore oil and gas experience, in management, engineering, construction and testing of oil/gas pipeline systems, gas facilities and marine structures.
He has a Bsc in Civil Engineering, MSc in Structural Engineering and served for five years as a marine officer in the Navy.
He has spent most of his career and gained experience in the international offshore industry, working with the companies: Santa Fe Int., Bechtel, Arco, British Gas and Eon Engineering, on projects in the Gulf of Mexico, North Sea, China, Middle East and Far East.
Avri participated in the pioneering engineering in the early 1970s in development and construction of semi submersible pipe-laying vessels, pipe-laying reel ships, jet-sleds and also in the engineering and construction of the first of its kind TLP (Tension Leg Platform) for the North Sea Hutton Field in the early 1980s.
